SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Reliability analysis determination for Deer Park Refining Limited Partnership (SL_SL_G1, SL_SL_G2, SL_SL_G3, SL_SL_G4)

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  October 27, 2023

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On May 26, 2023, ERCOT received Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) for the following Generation Resources:

• Deer Park Refining Limited Partnership (SL_SL_G1, SL_SL_G2, SL_SL_G3, SL_SL_G4)

The NSO indicated that the Generation Resources are converting from Generation Resources (GRs) to Settlement Only Transmission Self-Generators (SOTSGs) as of October 27, 2023.

Pursuant to ERCOT Protocols Section 3.14.1.2, ERCOT completed its reliability analysis and determined that the Generation Resources are not required to support ERCOT transmission system reliability.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ERCOT posted the analysis it performed to reach this determination on the Generation page of the Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area. An ERCOT Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS.
