SHORT DESCRIPTION: EMS Upgrade Project - ICCP cutover activities schedule as ERCOT moves to new ICCP systems
INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants
DAYS AFFECTED: September 14 - 25, 2023
LONG DESCRIPTION: As part of EMS Upgrade project, ERCOT’s ICCP (Inter-Control Center Communications Protocol) system will be transitioned to a new version between September 14, 2023 and September 25, 2023.Upgrade cutover activities will be conducted over several days in order to minimize downtimes during the transition to new ICCP systems. This Market Notice is a reminder of this transition, and provides a change to the date of the Cutover for TSP Bastrop ICCP servers. (ERCOT issued an earlier Market Notice relating to this transition on September 6, 2023.)
ERCOT IP addresses and ICCP configuration will remain unchanged. During each transition, a short interruption of approximately 5 minutes may occur for Market Participants' redundant links. However Market Participants will not need to take any action if they experience such interruption.
9/14 – Cutover TSP Taylor ICCP servers
Bastrop links will remain up to prevent data loss.
9/19 – Cutover TSP Bastrop ICCP servers (changed from 9/18)
Taylor links will remain up to prevent data loss.
9/20 - Cutover QSE Taylor ICCP servers
Bastrop links will remain up to prevent data loss.
9/21-25 - Cutover QSE Bastrop ICCP servers
Taylor links will remain up to prevent data loss.
