INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: December 9 to 11, 2023

LONG DESCRIPTION: In Public Utility Commission of Texas (Commission) Docket No. 53529, Application of the City of Lubbock, acting by and through Lubbock Power & Light, for Authority to Connect the Remaining Portion of its Load with the Electric Reliability Council of Texas and for Approval of an Agreement, the Commission issued an Order on March 22, 2023, approving the integration of the remaining load of the City of Lubbock, acting by and through Lubbock Power & Light (Lubbock), into the ERCOT System.

It is expected that the integration of Lubbock’s remaining Load into the ERCOT System will take place in stages over the period of December 9 - 11, 2023. Lubbock’s remaining Load will be a Non-Opt-In Entity (NOIE) Load and placed in the West Load Zone.

As authorized by the Commission's Order in Docket No. 53529, ERCOT may delay the integration if necessary to maintain reliability of the ERCOT Transmission Grid.  No delay is anticipated at this time; however, ERCOT will provide prompt notice to Market Participants should there be a need to change the dates of the integration.
