SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation of the Emergency Pricing Program

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: Beginning December 20, 2023

LONG DESCRIPTION: On December 20, 2023, the Emergency Pricing Program (EPP) approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) under Project No. 54585 will become effective. The amendments to PUCT rule 16 Tex. Admin. Code § 25.509 to incorporate the EPP were approved by the Commissioners on November 30, 2023.

Please note that ERCOT will file a Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) to update Protocol language to be consistent with the rule.
