SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT to release new Generation Outages dashboard

LONG DESCRIPTION: In response to Market Participant requests and ERCOT’s commitment to providing accurate and relevant data, ERCOT is releasing a new Generation Outages dashboard to ERCOT.com. The expected release date is Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

The Generation Outages dashboard will provide a graphical representation of planned and forced generation outages (including derates) within the ERCOT system. Both current, real-time outages as well as those that occurred during the previous 6 days will be displayed. The outage data will include full outages, as well as partial reductions in generation capability, that meet reporting requirements. The values in the dashboard reflect MW capability reductions relative to a generator’s maximum seasonal capability. Users will be able to view outages separated out as planned, forced, planned dispatchable, forced dispatchable, planned renewable, and forced renewable. The values will be provided in MW, and the data will be updated every 5 minutes. The Generation Outages dashboard will be accessible from the Grid and Market Conditions page.

ACTION REQUIRED: Upon first visit after this release, it may be necessary to refresh the browser or clear the browser’s cache for the new dashboard to properly display.
