SHORT DESCRIPTION: Total Potential Exposure (TPE) and Future Credit Exposure (FCE) calculations affected by system issues

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Counter-Parties

DAYS AFFECTED: January 12, 2024

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT encountered a system issue that prevented the calculation of updated Future Credit Exposure (FCE) values used in determining the Total Potential Exposure (TPE).  While this issue is currently being investigated, ERCOT will use the previous day’s FCE values which will be reflected in the revised TPE Summary report this morning.  A revised Available Credit Limit (ACL) Summary Report was published to reflect the updated TPE and ACL values using FCE values from January 11, 2024. 

Following its investigation into and resolution of the issue, ERCOT will provide more information on the cause of the issue .

ACTION REQUIRED: Counter-Parties should review their revised ACL Summary and TPE Summary reports published in the ERCOT MIS.
