SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation Details of NPRR1092

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: January 26, 2024

LONG DESCRIPTION: On January 26, 2024, the remaining Protocol language associated with NPRR1092, Reduce RUC Offer Floor and Limit RUC Opt-Out Provision, will be implemented.  

The revisions in NPRR1092 reduce the value of the offer floor on Resources that have the status of ONRUC and limit the use of the ONOPTOUT status.  The change to the offer floor was previously implemented.  The remaining Protocol language, which is part of this second phase of implementation, will change the timing and process for a Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE) to opt out of Reliability Unit Commitment (RUC) settlement for its Resources that have received a RUC instruction.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to paragraph (2) of Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to the NPRR's implementation.
