SHORT DESCRIPTION: Update Generic Limits for the Panhandle Generic Transmission Constraint (GTC)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

LONG DESCRIPTION: Based on the results of the Quarterly Stability Assessment (QSA) for Q1 of 2024, performed pursuant to Planning Guide Section 5.3.5, Quarterly Stability Assessment, ERCOT has identified an update on the Generic Limits for the Panhandle Generic Transmission Constraint (GTC). These updates result from the installation of new Generation Resources in the nearby Panhandle region.

The purpose of this Notice is to provide contemporaneous notification to all ERCOT Market Participants of these updates. ERCOT will begin enforcing the updated Panhandle GTC Generic Limits on March 1, 2024.

Details associated with all GTCs (EMIL ID NP3-770-M , Report ID 11425 ) can be found on the Grid Transmission page on ERCOT Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area under the Generic Transmission Constraints Methodology section. A Digital Certificate with role ICE_M_VIEW_ECEII is required to access this ECEII data.
