NOTICE DATE: November 30, 2010
NOTICE TYPE: R-B10012010-04 FINAL - Informational: Retail Implementation Notice
SHORT DESCRIPTION: The Texas SET Version 3.0A Implementation Guides, Texas SET Example documents, and SAC04 Code Matrix have been posted to the ERCOT website.
INTENDED AUDIENCE: CRs, TDSPs, and ERCOT
LONG DESCRIPTION: Today, November 30, 2010, ERCOT implemented Texas SET 3.0A which includes changes to the Texas SET Implementation Guides that were deemed as non-system impacting changes but were necessary to make sure the guides were up-to-date and correct.
The Texas SET Version 3.0A Implementation Guides, Texas SET Example documents, and SAC04 Code Matrix have been posted to the ERCOT website under the link 'Current Texas SET Implementation Guides' < http://www.ercot.com/mktrules/guides/txset/tsig> on the Texas SET Guides page of ERCOT.com <http://www.ercot.com/mktrules/guides/txset/>.
In addition, the production SEF files for Texas SET Version 3.0A are now posted in the File Cabinet of the Retail Testing Website < http://etod.ercot.com/>.
Outline of changes is as follows:
* Removing examples from the Implementation Guides and creating separate Example Documents to allow for ease of updates outside of a Texas SET Implementation
o Formal process to be used for requesting example updates:
* Market Participant submits Texas SET Issue document requesting Example update
* Texas SET Leadership will schedule time at the next Texas SET meeting to discuss the change request
* Once the updated Example is posted to the ERCOT website ERCOT will send notification to the Texas SET list serve
o Changes to the Examples do not change the Implementation Guide and therefore have no system functionality impact; otherwise changes will be made with a Texas SET Release.
o Examples will be updated with any Texas SET Release to ensure Examples are current and accurate.
* Removing the SAC04 codes from the 810_02 and 810_03 and creating an external SAC04 Code Matrix to allow for ease of updates outside of a Texas SET Implementation
o Formal process to be used for requesting the addition of any new SAC04 codes.
* TDSP submit Texas SET Issue document requesting addition of a new SAC04 code.
* Texas SET Leadership will work with ERCOT to schedule time at the next Texas SET meeting for a SAC04 Approval Call
* An emergency call will be scheduled if urgency is requested by the TDSP
* Notification (separate from the regular Texas SET meeting notice) will be sent to the Texas SET list serve announcing the SAC04 Approval Call
* Codes should have an implementation date of no less than 30 days from date of approval when possible.
* Once the updated SAC04 Table is posted to the ERCOT website ERCOT will send notification to the Texas SET list serve indicating approval of the new SAC04 code.
o The SAC04 Matrix will be posted to ercot.com along with the Texas SET Implementation Guides.
o The addition of four (4) new SAC04 Codes to the 810_03 SAC04 Matrix approved on the October 12, 2010 Change Control Call
o Market Participants should feel free to contact the TDSP to request addition of SAC04 codes.
* Other benefits of the implementation
o Corrections in spelling and grammar
o Updates to reflect that certain reject codes are ERCOT ONLY. This was the intention of these particular rejects, however the guides did not correctly reflect as such.
o Remove references to Drop to AREP since this process is no longer used in the market
o Update naming conventions to reflect Standard and Self-selected Switches to be consistent with the PUCT Rules
