Hello BESTF Participants,

Thanks again for your participation in today's meeting.  Below is a quick summary and information on how and when we need your input on several documents.


1)      NPRR 1014  DC-Coupled Resources:

a.       ERCOT is planning to file comments next week on NPRR 1014 that will reflect the consensus language developed during the previous BESTF meetings.

b.      The latest version is posted at:  http://www.ercot.com/content/wcm/key_documents_lists/191259/1014NPRR-05_ERCOT_Comments_061920_BESTF072320.docx

c.       Shortly after those ERCOT comments are posted, ERCOT is planning to post an "RTC-BES synchronized version".

d.      The expectation is that Market Participants (if necessary) file comments on top of the "RTC-BES synchronized version".

e.      The plan is to get Market Participant comments on top of the "RTC-BES synchronized version" so that NPRR 1014 can be reviewed at the Sep 10 or Oct 15 PRS meeting.



2)       NPRR 1026:  Self-Limiting Facilities and Self-Limiting Resources:

a.       During today's BESTF meeting, a few edits were made to the previously posted document and the group reached consensus on the document that was updated during the meeting.

b.      The document with today's edits is posted at:  http://www.ercot.com/content/wcm/key_documents_lists/191259/1026NPRR-01_BESTF-7_consolidated_comments_08042020_BESTF_081420.docx

c.       ERCOT is planning to file comments next week on NPRR 1026 that will reflect the consensus developed at today's BESTF meeting.

d.      The target is to have NPRR 1026 considered at the Sept 10 PRS meeting.


3)      PGRR 081: Related to NPRR1026, BESTF-7 Self-Limiting Facilities:

a.       The BESTF did NOT reach consensus on this PGRR today.

b.      The latest version is posted at: http://www.ercot.com/content/wcm/key_documents_lists/191259/081PGRR-04_ROS_Report_070920.docx

c.       Please provide comments by August 31 on the document at the link above and/or reach out to Sandip Sharma and Jay Teixeira if necessary.

d.      The plan is to get suggestions and edits at least a week before the Sept 11 BESTF meeting.

e.      The plan is to discuss PGRR 081 at the Sept 11 BESTF meeting and work to get consensus at the meeting.


4)       NPRR 1029  DC-Coupled Resources:

a.       At today's BESTF meeting we stepped through all the sections of the NPRR.  There was some discussion on section 2.1 Definitions.

c.       Please provide comments by August 31 on the document at the link above and/or reach out to Sandip Sharma and Kenneth Ragsdale if necessary.

d.      The plan is to get suggestions and edits at least a week before the Sept 11 BESTF meeting.

e.      The plan is to discuss 1029 at the Sept 11 BESTF meeting and work to get consensus at the meeting.

The next BESTF meeting is scheduled for 9-11-20.
