SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Final determination of RMR status for Lower Colorado River Authority, Ferguson Power Plant G1 (FERGUS_FERGUSG1)

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  September 30, 2013

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On January 25, 2013, ERCOT received Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) from Lower Colorado River Authority for the decommissioning and retirement of Ferguson Power Plant G1 (FERGUS_FERGUSG1) with a proposed effective date of September 30, 2013.

ERCOT has completed its review and is issuing its final determination that the Resource is not required to support ERCOT System reliability (for voltage support, stability or management of localized transmission constraints under first contingency criteria). The Resource may be decommissioned and retired according to the schedule in the NSO.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ERCOT has posted the analysis done to arrive at its determination on the Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area on the Grid/Generation page under Reliability Must Run at https://mis.ercot.com/pps/tibco/mis/Pages/Grid+Information/Generation. An ERCOT digital certificate is required to access the MIS.
