SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Final determination of RMR status for Luminant Generation Company LLC, Monticello Units 1 & 2
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  December 1, 2012
LONG DESCRIPTION:  On August 31, 2012, ERCOT received Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) from Luminant Generation Company LLC for the following Generation Resources with a proposed effective date of December 1, 2012, for a period not less than six months and not greater than 7 months:

  *   Luminant Generation Company LLC  - MNSES_UNIT1
  *   Luminant Generation Company LLC  - MNSES_UNIT2
ERCOT has completed its review and is issuing its final determination that these Resources are not required to support ERCOT System reliability (for voltage support, stability or management of localized transmission constraints under first contingency criteria). The Resources may be mothballed according to the schedule in the NSO.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ERCOT has posted the analysis performed to arrive at its determination on the Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area on the Grid/Generation page under Reliability Must Run at https://mis.ercot.com/pps/tibco/mis/Pages/Grid+Information/Generation. An ERCOT digital certificate is required to access the MIS.
