SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Renewable Energy Credits and Compliance Premiums of 2016 vintage scheduled to expire

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  March 31, 2019

LONG DESCRIPTION:  All Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) and Compliance Premiums (CPs) created in 2016 are scheduled to expire and will no longer be usable after March 31, 2019. These RECs and CPs may not be banked and carried over to future years. However, these RECs and CPs may be retired on a voluntary basis or used to satisfy 2018 Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) mandates until midnight March 31, 2019.



At midnight on March 31, 2019, these RECs and CPs will cease to exist.
