SHORT DESCRIPTION:  End of Nodal Implementation Surcharge

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

LONG DESCRIPTION:  Since October 1, 2006, ERCOT has been assessing a Nodal Implementation Surcharge (NIS), currently $0.375 per megawatt-hour of generation, in order to fund implementation of the nodal market. ERCOT anticipates full recovery by the end of 2012 or early 2013. Upon full recovery, ERCOT will cease charging the NIS.

A follow-up Market Notice will be sent when the NIS end date is determined.
