SHORT DESCRIPTION:  The ERCOT 2016 Type 2 (SOC 1) Audit Report is now available
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Financial personnel from ERCOT member companies and Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  December 19, 2016
LONG DESCRIPTION:  The ERCOT 2016 Type 2 (SOC 1) Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE 16) Report for the Service Organization Controls is now available. The examination was performed by Schellman & Co., LLC. The result of the examination was an Unqualified (clean) Opinion.  ERCOT's Management Assertion is included in Section 2 of the report.
The review period for the 2016 Type 2 (SOC 1) examination was October 1, 2015, to September 30, 2016. Type 2 reports present an opinion on management's description of a service organization's system and the suitability of the design and operating effectiveness of controls over a period of time.
Market Participants are entitled to a copy of the Audit Report and may obtain their copy by making a request of ClientServices<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
