SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation Details of NPRR700 and VCMRR008
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  June 22, 2016
LONG DESCRIPTION:  On June 22, 2016, Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 700, Utilizing Actual Fuel Costs in Startup Offer Caps, along with the Verifiable Cost Manual Revision Request (VCMRR) 008, Alignment with NPRR700, Utilizing Actual Fuel Cost in Startup Offer Caps, will be implemented.  NPRR700 was approved by the ERCOT Board on August 11, 2015 and VCMRR008 was approved by the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) on August 27, 2015.

NPRR700 incorporates the actual fuel costs into the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) and Reliability Unit Commitment (RUC) procurement process and DAM Make-Whole Payment calculation; and VCMRR008 aligns the Verifiable Cost Manual with these provisions.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, and Verifiable Cost Manual Section 13.6, Verifiable Cost Manual Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
