NOTICE DATE: October 22, 2010
NOTICE TYPE: M-C102210-01 Notice of System Change (NPRR)
SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation Details of NPRR 219
INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED: December 1, 2010
LONG DESCRIPTION: Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 219, Resolution of Alignment Items A33, A92, A106 and A150, as approved by the ERCOT Board of Directors, will become effective for Operating Day December 1, 2010. NPRR 219 requires the Resource Entity (RE) to provide information to ERCOT as the responsible Entity that will submit Outage Scheduler entries for Transmission Facilities owned by the RE.
In accordance with NPRR 219, ERCOT will submit information into the Nodal Outage Scheduler for Resources who own Transmission Facilities. For more detailed information on the ERCOT process, please refer to the attached Resource Transmission Outage Request Procedure. This process will be required from Nodal Go-Live on December 1, 2010, until Outage Scheduler system changes are completed. Request Forms have been developed by ERCOT for both Forced and Planned Outages and have been attached, as well. These forms are also available at http://www.ercot.com/gridinfo/transmission/index.
This process does not modify the process for Resource Outages, which are required to be submitted by the RE.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: In conjunction with the implementation of NPRR 219, ERCOT will host a Market Participant training session on the outage submittal process in November 2010. The session will also be available via WebEx. Details of the training will be provided in a subsequent Market Notice.
