SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT MOTE will be open for testing of changes to Switchable Generation Resource Status Code Submission related to NPRR901

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  QSEs with Switchable Generation Resources

DAY AFFECTED:  May 10, 2019

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT will implement changes associated with Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 901, Switchable Generation Resource Status Code, during the release period of May 28 - 30, 2019.

As part of the requirements of NPRR901, a new Current Operating Plan (COP) Resource status, "EMRSWGR" for Switchable Generation Resources (SWGRs) will be added. Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) with qualified SWGRs will be allowed to submit EMRSWGR COP status to indicate the corresponding SWGRs operating in a non-ERCOT Control Area for the SWGRs by hour during Adjustment Period through API and the Market Management System (MMS) User Interface.

In preparation for the production implementation, the ERCOT Market Operations Test Environment (MOTE) will be available for Market Participant testing starting on May 10, 2019. MOTE will be unavailable intermittently during 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on May 9, 2019 to implement the NPRR changes. The testing of submission of the new COP status, EMRSWGR, will be performed on an informal and unstructured basis. The MMS will apply the following validations rules to validate the new COP status submission:

********* EMRSWGR COP status is allowed to be submitted individually for qualified SWGRs only and Operating Hour(s) for which they are applicable during the Adjustment Period

********* The Ancillary Service Resource Responsibility capacity for each Ancillary Service type in the COP must be zero for the SWGRs with EMRSWGR COP status
