The ERCOT planned retail release completed at approximately 17:23 this evening, Sunday, September 23, 2012.  All systems and transaction processing were reinstated at that time.

As always, connectivity issues such as NAESB or MIS can be reported to the ERCOT Help Desk at 512-248-6800 or [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> or tomorrow to your ERCOT Account Manager.

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has an on-cycle retail release planned for 14:00 Saturday, September 22, 2012 through 00:00 Monday, September 24, 2012

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: 14:00 Saturday, September 22, 2012 through 00:00 Monday, September 24, 2012.

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has an on-cycle retail release planned for 14:00 Saturday, September 22, 2012 through 00:00 Monday, September 24, 2012.

ERCOT will be implementing data management scripts and purging historic data in alignment with ERCOT’s data retention policy as part of the Information Lifecycle Management Project.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: During this outage, the following functions will be affected:

  *   Market participants utilizing NAESB to send/receive transactions to/from ERCOT will NOT be able to send/receive transactions to/from ERCOT.
  *   867 Transactions will NOT be forwarded during the outage.
  *   997 Functional Acknowledgements will NOT be sent during the outage.
  *   MarkeTrak will be unavailable for the duration of the outage.
  *   Retail components on MIS and the Retail API will not be available.
  *   eService application will be unavailable on the Market Information System (MIS).
  *   The following ERCOT internet services could potentially be affected and NOT available during this outage, including but not limited to:
     *   Texas Renewables – www.texasrenewables.com<http://www.texasrenewables.com><http://www.texasrenewables.com>

•         Retail Reports and Extracts may be impacted during the outage timeframe.
