NOTICE TYPE:  R-A072617-02 Testing
SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Update - The next round of Retail Market Qualification Testing (Flight 1017) is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, with a registration deadline of Wednesday, September 6, 2017.
Update:  Due to Hurricane Harvey, there is a potential for alterations to Flight 1017. More information will be provided as it becomes available. Please continue to monitor the Retail Testing Website as well as Market Notices for any updates concerning Flight 1017.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Existing and potential new Competitive Retailers (CRs) and Transmission Distribution Service Providers (TDSPs)
LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT and the Texas Standard Electronic Transaction (Texas SET) Working Group would like to announce that preparations are underway for the next round of Retail Market Qualification Testing, Flight 1017. Flight 1017 will test for TX SET Version 4.0 and it is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.

Testing is required for new Market Participants (CRs and TDSPs) entering the Texas Retail Market, as well as for existing Market Participants entering new service territories, testing additional business functionality, changing service providers, changing banking information, or adding another entity to their business umbrella.
Participation in Ad Hoc Testing is limited to existing Market Participants (CRs and TDSPs) that did not make the deadline for the actual Flight Test. Ad Hoc Period testing includes testing additional business functionality, changing service providers, changing banking information, or adding another entity to their business umbrella.
The deadline to register for participating in Flight 1017 - Retail Market Testing is Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 17:00 CPT.
The deadline to register for participating in the Ad Hoc Period of Flight 1017 - Retail Market Testing is Friday, October 13, 2017 at 17:00 CPT. Existing Market Participants should try to test in the actual Flight test if at all possible.
The Testing Worksheets (TWs) on the Retail Testing Website are open for registration.  Market Participants participating in Flight 1017 must create or update their existing TW prior to the Flight deadline.  As changes to TW contacts occur, Market Participants should update their TW to include the most current contact information.
ACTION REQUIRED:  Existing CRs and TDSPs participating in Flight 1017 will need to complete the following requirements before the Flight deadline, Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 17:00 CPT:
*         Notify ERCOT of intent to test via email
o   This notification must include company legal name, company DUNS, and what the entity will be testing
o   This e-mail must be sent directly from the Authorized Representative
o   Please send this e-mail to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
o   Submit an UPDATED Testing Worksheet (TW) found on https://etod.ercot.com

New CRs and TDSPs participating in Flight 1017 will need to complete the following requirements before the Flight deadline, Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 17:00 CPT:
*         Apply for and receive a DUNS number on the D&B website<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.dnb.com_us_&d=DwIFAg&c=trp9rTvIdyEWh1VWB5x8_2JiPaB5oGZOtWPDws2_VoY&r=uCZoCavT8AP5eZghYWCmY_IY4lx6yIbqXqWTQej1CtwUSn7x01KGNLL0CNP-Tf0K&m=Ca8rjDayggEgfXZDI96bnW1WBLYmpGHDh3CWM381ips&s=YjFU_lPENOr6HyP2SW7TkWutYxioWdZ_vMEow8B2jcY&e= >.
*         Notify ERCOT of intent to test via email
o   This notification must include company legal name, company DUNS number, and what the entity will be testing
o   This e-mail must be sent from the Authorized Representative designated on the LSE application.
o   Please send this e-mail to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
*         Apply for REP certification with the Public Utility Commission of Texas<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.puc.state.tx.us_&d=DwIFAg&c=trp9rTvIdyEWh1VWB5x8_2JiPaB5oGZOtWPDws2_VoY&r=uCZoCavT8AP5eZghYWCmY_IY4lx6yIbqXqWTQej1CtwUSn7x01KGNLL0CNP-Tf0K&m=Ca8rjDayggEgfXZDI96bnW1WBLYmpGHDh3CWM381ips&s=XWvZMNgNzhlaOzOdJu5M7Fnxrxdh-3IwqM4_YPAA4p0&e= >.
o   The potential CR must have filed for PUCT certification and received a PUCT docket number before the Flight deadline.  Please forward this docket number to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
*         Submit  a completed LSE Application, found on the Load Serving Entities page of ERCOT.com<http://www.ercot.com/services/rq/lse/>
o   Under Key Documents, Select Load Service Entity Application for Registration
o   Please note that proper company registration must be on file at the Texas Secretary of State office in order for your ERCOT LSE application to be accepted (https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.sos.state.tx.us&d=DwIFAg&c=trp9rTvIdyEWh1VWB5x8_2JiPaB5oGZOtWPDws2_VoY&r=uCZoCavT8AP5eZghYWCmY_IY4lx6yIbqXqWTQej1CtwUSn7x01KGNLL0CNP-Tf0K&m=Ca8rjDayggEgfXZDI96bnW1WBLYmpGHDh3CWM381ips&s=GPCumJMlhL3XyjNUyPujhCgAE_PAXt8dlipPFIfIXDA&e= ).
*         Submit the $500 ERCOT LSE Application Fee with the LSE Application
*         Complete and submit a new Testing Worksheet (TW) found on http://etod.ercot.com<http://etod.ercot.com/>
