NOTICE TYPE:  R-A121008-02 UPDATE - Testing - Retail: Announcement - Retail Market Qualification Testing - Flight 0209 TX Set Version 3.0

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  The Testing Worksheets on the Retail Testing Website have been unlocked for parties participating in Flight 0209.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Current and potential new Competitive Retailers (CRs) and Transmission Distribution Service Providers (TDSPs)
LONG DESCRIPTION:  The Testing Worksheets (TWs) on the Retail Testing Website (http://etod.ercot.com<http://etod.ercot.com/>) have been unlocked for parties participating in Flight 0209.  Participating parties can now update these TWs with current testing information.
As a reminder, the Testing Worksheet provides valuable information to testing participants such as:

 *   Company Information
 *   Contact Information
 *   Testing Information
 *   Connectivity Information
 *   EDI Specifications Information

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  If you are in need of a Retail Testing Website login and password, please email the Retail Testing Team at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. Within the email request, please provide your name, email address, company name, and company DUNs number.
The Testing Worksheets (TWs) will be locked down (closed for edits/updates) once again as of the Flight 0209 deadline, which is Wednesday, January  14, 2009 at 5:00 PM CPT.

NOTICE TYPE:  R-A121008-01 Testing - Retail: Announcement - Retail Market Qualification Testing- Flight 0209 TX Set Version 3.0

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  The next round of Retail Market Qualification Testing (Flight 0209) is scheduled to begin on Friday, February 13, 2009.  The deadline to register for participation in Flight 0209 - Retail Market Testing is Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 5:00 PM CPT.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Current and potential new Retail Competitive Retailers (CRs) and Transmission Distribution Service Providers (TDSPs)

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT and the Texas Test Plan Team (TTPT) would like to announce that preparations are underway for the next round of Retail Market Qualification Testing, Flight 0209.  Flight 0209 will test for TX SET Version 3.0 and it is scheduled to begin on Friday, February 13, 2009.

Testing is required for new Market Participants (CRs and TDSPs) entering the Texas Retail Market, as well as for current Market Participants entering new service territories, testing additional business functionality, or adding another entity to their business umbrella.

The deadline to register for participating in Flight 0209 - Retail Market Testing is Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 5:00 PM CPT.

ERCOT will NOT host a mandatory orientation meeting in preparation for Flight 0209. The Texas Test Plan Team has determined that no mandatory market orientation meeting will be needed.

The Testing Worksheets (TWs) on the Retail Testing Website will be unlocked on Wednesday, January 7, 2009.
ACTION REQUIRED:  Current retail CRs and TDSPs participating in Flight 0209 will need to complete the following requirements before the Flight deadline, Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 5:00 PM CPT:

*        Notify ERCOT of intent to test via email
o       This notification must include company legal name,  company DUNS, and what the entity is testing for
o       Please send this e-mail to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
*        Submit an UPDATED Testing Worksheet (TW)
o       http://etod.ercot.com<http://etod.ercot.com/>

New retail CRs and TDSPs participating in Flight 0209 will need to complete the following requirements before the Flight deadline, Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 5:00 PM CPT:

*        Go to the D&B website at: http://www.dnb.com/us/ to apply for a DUNS number. Please forward this DUNS number to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
*        Notify ERCOT of intent to test via email
o       This notification must include company legal name,  company DUNS, and what the entity is testing for
o       Please send this e-mail to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
*        Apply for REP Certification with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (www.puc.state.tx.us<http://www.puc.state.tx.us/>).
o       The potential CR must have filed for PUCT certification and received a PUCT docket number before the Flight deadline.  Please forward this docket number to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
*        Submit  a completed LSE Application
