SHORT DESCRIPTION: REMINDER - 2015 ERCOT Black Start Training registration begins November 14, 2014

LONG DESCRIPTION: Registration for the 2015 ERCOT Black Start Training begins on November 14, 2014. There will be a $200 fee per person for registration submitted prior to the deadline (seat reserved online and registration form sent). All registrations received after December 12, 2014 will be charged the late registration fee of $275 per person with no exceptions. Registration fees are nonrefundable regardless of the reason for cancellation.

SHORT DESCRIPTION: 2015 ERCOT Black Start Training
INTENDED AUDIENCE: TDSPs, Black Start and Next Start QSEs and Resources
DAY AFFECTED: Registration available November 14, 2014 - December 12, 2014
LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT will host the 2015 ERCOT Black Start Training in Taylor, TX beginning February 3 - 5, 2015.
There will be six training sessions scheduled, and each session will be three days with a half day the first day, full day the second and one half day on the third. The first day will start at 01:00 and end at 17:00 covering Black Start theory and the responsibilities of each entity involved in the restoration process, as well as, simulation training and two hours of real simulation. The second day will start at 07:00 and last until 17:00 and the third day will begin at 07:00 and end at 14:00. These two days will focus on simulating the restoration of the ERCOT System. There is also a dry run scheduled for January 13 - 15, 2015. Dry Run session should be attended by trainers, managers and designated required representatives exclusively.

For completion of the three day training session, nineteen (19) NERC approved Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) will be awarded. Seventeen (17) of the CEHs will count towards the ERCOT /Simulation requirement.
ERCOT requests participation from all Transmission Operators (TOPs) and Generator Operator (GOPs) operations personnel from resources identified in a Transmission Operator's Black Start plan.
