Subject: RE: PGDTF Working Group VOTE
***** EXTERNAL email. Please be cautious and evaluate before you click on links, open attachments, or provide credentials. *****
Good morning,
We haven't received any feedback on the email below, so this is just a reminder to send in your vote as soon as possible. Additionally, one more thing we should be considering for this that has not been discussed at the task force is the creation of a new working group at NERC called EMPWG (Electromagnetic Pulse Working Group). This group, which started as a task force was promoted to a working group in 2020. While there hasn't been a lot of movement on it yet, it does seem like the industry is expanding the scope for geomagnetic disturbances. We can talk about this new working group in our next meeting. You can find the scope and work plan for the working group by following the link below:

Subject: PGDTF Working Group VOTE
Good morning everyone, I hope you are having a good end of the week.
As discussed during our last meeting, I'm sending out a quick survey for the task force to vote on which working group would be the best/preferred one to take up the activities of this task force. Once we get a vote we will present our preference to ROS and hopefully get some guidance from their part as to whether our activities will go to that working group or if the task force becomes a working group itself moving forward. I went back to look at the last round of votes we had when we presented to ROS back in July, and the results were the following:
* SSWG: 7 votes
* PGDTF promoted to working group: 5 votes
* DWG: 4 votes
The rest of the task force members voted neutral/no comment, and there were a couple of votes for ERCOT to hire a consultant. Based on the previous results I'm only including the first two options in this survey to finalize it and present again in Feb to ROS. This way we minimize the options, and we give a chance to whoever didn't get a chance to vote before or is new to the task force a chance to do so. Please use the link below to submit your vote:

I would like to request everyone to submit their vote by Thursday Jan 27 to allow us a few days to prepare for the ROS meeting. If you'd like to review any part of the PGDTF scope and activities to help you decide, please consult our website (https://www.ercot.com/committees/ros/pgdtf) where you can find the scope and other relevant documents.
If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact me.
