The ERCOT outage completed at approximately 12:00 PM today, Saturday, March 22, 2008.  All systems and transaction processing were reinstated at that time.

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has scheduled an unplanned outage for Saturday, , 2008.        

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  All Market Participants        

DAY AFFECTED:  Saturday, March 22, 2008 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM        

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has scheduled an unplanned outage for Saturday, March 22, 2008 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

The reprocessing efforts resulting from the March 12, 2008 retail transaction processing outage (referenced in Market notice M-A031208) will be delayed as a result of this outage.

Due to the volume of files needing to be reprocessed and recent production issues there is the possibility of duplicate outbound transactions. 

ERCOT Retail Account Manager’s will provide all affected Market Participant’s with a list of duplicates after 3:00 PM on Monday, March 24, 2008.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  During the outage the following functions will be affected:

MOS, Scheduling API, MOSTML, MOSPUBLIC, and Outage Scheduler will not be affected as there will be a DNS failover from Taylor to Austin.
