SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Root cause of extended maintenance outage.    

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  All Market Participants    

DAY AFFECTED:  8:00 AM Sunday, March 2, 2008 to 6:05 AM Monday, March 3, 2008

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT’s scheduled maintenance outage on Sunday, March 2, 2008, scheduled from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM had to be extended.   The maintenance outage was extended as the result of an Operating System failure requiring restoration of drives located on the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) server.  The outage completed on Monday, March 3, 2008 at 6:05 AM.

The additional outage time will be counted against the Retail Service Level Agreement and recorded in the ERCOT IT Incident Market Notice Summary.

The ERCOT planned maintenance for March 2, 2008 completed at approximately 6:05 AM today, Monday, March 3, 2008, 2008.  All systems and transaction processing were reinstated at that time.

The ERCOT planned maintenance outage is still experiencing issues.  ERCOT is still unable to determine an estimated time for the completion of this maintenance outage., Sunday, March 2, 2008. All systems and transaction processing were reinstated at that time.  Updates will follow as information is recieved.

      • Settlement Statements
