SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has issued a Request for Proposal for Emergency Interruptible Load Service for the contract period June 1 through September 30, 2008.

DAY AFFECTED: Resource Identification Forms are due April 25, 2008; Bids and Self-Provision Offers are due May 9, 2008.

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Emergency Interruptible Load Service (EILS) for the contract period June 1 through September 30, 2008. Resource Identification Forms, which is a new step in the EILS procurement process, are due to ERCOT by April 25, 2008. Responses to this RFP, including bids and Self Provision offers, are due May 9, 2008.

This RFP and all supporting documents associated with the procurement of EILS are available on the ERCOT website. These documents include:

· EILS Registration and Proposal Forms

· EILS Technical Requirements and Scope of Work

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Questions and answers related to this RFP will be posted to the ERCOT EILS website at http://www.ercot.com/services/programs/load/eils/index.html. Information regarding the EILS program in general is also available at this site.

Awarded bids will be communicated to QSEs by ERCOT on May 16, 2008. Summary information on these awards will be released in a Market Notice no later than May 26, 2008.
