SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an issue with an Application Programming Interface (API) Server resulting in Market Participant connectivity issues.

DAY AFFECTED:  April 10, 2008 through April 11, 2008

LONG DESCRIPTION:  From 2:48 PM Thursday, April 10, 2008 through 9:30 AM Friday, April 11, 2008, ERCOT experienced an issue with an Application Programming Interface (API) Server resulting in Market Participant connectivity issues when requesting extracts and reports via the Texas Market Link (TML).  Some Market Participants received an error message when requesting these items through TML. 

This issue was due to an application failure on one API server.  Only Market Participants which were connected to this specific server received error messages.  All other Market Participants experienced no issues.  The problem was resolved at 9:30 AM Friday, April 11, 2008.
