SHORT DESCRIPTION:  MV90xi Production Software Upgrade

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  TDSPs

DAY AFFECTED:  May 9, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT will be upgrading the MV90xi production software, version 1.0 to version 2.0 on May 9, 2008.

During the upgrade on May 9, 2008, MV90xi operations at ERCOT will be operating on a limited basis and will not be able to perform meter interrogations.  TDSP Metering personnel will still be able to perform EPS Metering work and should continue to communicate with the MDAS Group at ERCOT in order to log and track meter field activity during any access periods to EPS Meters.  TDSPs should also plan on collecting EPS Meter data with their data collection system, or download Hand Held Files (HHF) from any meter points prior to, and upon completion of, any EPS Meter work. 

At the conclusion of the upgrade period, ERCOT will request from the TDSPs any meter data that is needed for the outage period.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  With this upgrade, the ORIGIN characteristic of the IDR header record will be changing for Market Participants currently scheduled to receive the Resource ID extract and/or the Recorder ID extract. The ORIGIN characteristic in the LSCHANNELCUTHEADER table currently equals the value of ‘C’ and with this change the value will be ‘M’. This change does not impact the primary key of the record.
