SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Some Load Profiles are to be published with three
digits to the right of the decimal point.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  QSEs and LSEs

DAY AFFECTED:  August 1, 2008

LONG DESCRIPTION:  Currently, all ERCOT Load Profile values are
published and used in Settlement with two digits to the right of the
decimal point.  

Load Profiling Guide Revision Request (LPGRR) 026 submitted on July 31,
2007, proposed changing the ERCOT production system to generate and
publish Load Profiles with three digits to the right of the decimal
point for the following Load Profile Types:

BUSNODEM

RESHIWR

RESLOWR

 

On December 11, 2007, the ERCOT Board approved LPGRR026.  

 

The applicable backcasted Load Profiles will contain the three digits to
the right of the decimal point beginning with the backcasts for Trade
Date August 1, 2008, which will be published on August 2, 2008.  

 

The applicable forecasted Load Profiles will contain the three digits to
the right of the decimal point beginning August 1, 2008.  

 

The corresponding Load Profile Model spreadsheets (v2.2) are part of the
Load Profiling Guide and are posted at

implementation).

ACTION REQUIRED:  Market Participants may need to take steps to ensure
that their replication of the ERCOT Load Profile Models (i.e., BUSNODEM,
RESHIWR, and RESLOWR) round the final 15-minute interval values to three
digits to the right of the decimal point.  Those who reference Load
Profiling Guide Appendix E: Profile Model Spreadsheets need to download
the latest version from
