SHORT DESCRIPTION: Texas RE is hosting a workshop on NERC standards and ERCOT regional requirements for reliability of the Bulk Power System (BPS).

LONG DESCRIPTION: Texas Regional Entity (Texas RE) is hosting a workshop to allow Market Participants to learn more about compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards and ERCOT regional requirements for reliability of the Bulk Power System (BPS). This workshop will be held at the Austin Airport Marriott South on May 13, 2008 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
NERC and Texas RE will cover compliance program material, including new requirements and procedures. Topics include registration with NERC, NERC and regional standards, the Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program, and NERC standards for cyber security. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.
Information from this workshop will be valuable for Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs); Resource Entities; Transmission Operators (TOs); Transmission and Distribution Service Providers (TDSPs); ERCOT ISO staff; and PUCT staff.
Registration is free, and lunch will be provided. RSVPs are required. Space is limited to 120 guests, and therefore only 5 participants per organization will be allowed to register for this event. Copies of the presentation will be given to each attendee and the workshop will be available via WebEx as well.
