NOTICE TYPE:  R-A052808-02 UPDATE - Retail Processing

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an unplanned outage which impacted
Retail Transaction processing.  

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  CRs and TDSPs

DAY AFFECTED:  May 28, 2008 from 5:26 PM to 6:05 PM        

LONG DESCRIPTION:  Due to a connectivity issue with the Electronic Data
Interchange (EDI) server, ERCOT experienced an unplanned Retail
Transaction processing outage on May 28, 2008 from 5:26 PM to 6:05 PM.
The connectivity issue has been resolved and ERCOT will continue to
monitor EDI server performance.

ERCOT is currently analyzing the impact to Retail Transaction processing
to determine the volume and transactions impacted.  Additional
information related to the impact on Retail Transactions will be
provided when available.
