SHORT DESCRIPTION:  MarkeTrak API application outage

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  CRs and TDSPs

DAY AFFECTED:  May 12, 2008 from 7:26 AM to 12:45 PM

LONG DESCRIPTION:  The MarkeTrak API outage has been linked to a change in the communication behavior between the API and the web server.  This issue caused a communication bottleneck, which resulted in an outage. 

Configuration changes have been implemented to increase server performance.  All MarkeTrak API traffic has been rerouted to the original server.  ERCOT’s Web Service Support Team will continue to closely monitor API performance. 

This will be the final notice for this issue.

This issue has been temporarily resolved by utilizing a different server.  Additional details will be provided as they become available.
