The unplanned ERCOT Customer Registration Database outage completed at approximately 1:19 PM today, Tuesday, June 3, 2008.  All systems and transaction processing were reinstated at that time.

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Unplanned Customer Registration Database Outage  

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  Today, Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM 

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT will experience an unplanned outage of the Customer Registration Database today, Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from approximately 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.   

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  During the outage the following functions will be affected:

  • Market Participants utilizing NAESB to send/receive transactions to/from ERCOT WILL be able to send/receive transactions to/from ERCOT during the outage.  This includes all retail transactions.
  • 867 Transactions WILL be forwarded during the outage.
  • 997 Functional Acknowledgements WILL be sent during the outage.
  • Components of the TML and Commercial API will NOT be available including:
    • Find ESI ID
    • Find Transaction
    • Submit Transactions
    • USA Functionalities
    • Report Explorer, including
      • Reports
      • Extracts
      • Invoices
      • Settlement Statements
    • Extract Scheduler
    • Web Services Data Requests

 

  • ERCOT Internet Services WILL be available:

MOS, Scheduling API, MOSTML, MOSPUBLIC, and Outage Scheduler will not be affected as there will be a DNS failover from Taylor to Austin.
