LONG DESCRIPTION: On May 20, 2008, the ERCOT Board of Directors approved Load Profiling Guide Revision Request (LPGRR) 030, Distributed Renewable Generation Modifications. The most significant change associated with LPGRR030 is that there are new load profile models designed for premises with Distributed Renewable Generation (DRG). The profile model spreadsheets (Appendix E of the Load Profiling Guide [LPG]) have been posted with the LPG and have an effective date of January 1, 2009.
The new profile types for which load profiles will be published and used in Settlement are:

According to Protocol section 18.2.9, Adjustments and Changes to Load Profile Development, ERCOT shall give at least one hundred fifty (150) days notice to all Market Participants prior to market implementation of any change in Load Profile Methodology, existing Load Profiles, or when any additional Load Profiles are developed.
ERCOT hereby gives notice of its intent to implement the 16 new profile types listed above with an effective date of January 1, 2009.

Additionally, a revised Profile Decision Tree (Appendix D of the LPG) has been posted with the LPG, and has an effective date of January 1, 2009.
ACTION REQUIRED: Market Participants whose automated systems process forecasted and backcasted load profiles need to make sure that their systems will handle the inclusion of the new load profiles.
TDSPs may submit to ERCOT the information specified on the DRG tab of the Profile Decision Tree. The preferred method for submission of these requests and the required documentation is via email to the following address: [log in to unmask].
ERCOT will coordinate with TDSPs on DRG sites for which the above-referenced information has already been submitted.
