SHORT DESCRIPTION:  RPRS did not solve within the allocated run-time on June 30, 2008 for the July 1 trade date.

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On June 30th, while executing the Replacement Reserve market for July 1st, ERCOT did not approve RPRS procurement. The RPRS market engine timed out before solving.  ERCOT diagnosed the problem to be a maximum execution time limit.  This limit exists to prevent the program from attempting to solve an unsolvable case.  RPRS was programmed to complete execution in 2000 seconds (33 1/3 minutes) and, on June 30th, did not solve within the allocated time.  The increased time required may have been related to a change in scheduling requirements that went into effect July 1st.  The execution time limit has been increased.
