SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Update on ERCOT unplanned Electronic Data Interface (EDI) Server outage.

 

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  CRs and TDSPs

 

DAY AFFECTED:  July 23, 2008 from 8:15 AM to 9:33 AM

 

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an unplanned outage of the Electronic Data Interface (EDI) Server from 8:15 AM to 9:33 AM, July 23, 2008. Due to inbound and outbound processes not completing as normal, the Electronic Data Interface (EDI) Server was rebooted.  This reboot required data clean-up to maintain the integrity of the transactions that were currently processing through the system.

 

Transactions are processing as normal and all backlogged transactions have cleared.

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an unplanned outage of the Electronic Data Interface (EDI) Server on July 23, 2008 from 8:15 AM to 9:33 AM.  The EDI Server has been restored and is operating normally.
