SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Some Load Profiles are to be published with three
digits to the right of the decimal point.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  QSEs and LSEs

DAY AFFECTED:  Operating Day August 1, 2008

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On December 11, 2007, the ERCOT Board approved Load
Profiling Guide Revision Request (LPGRR) 026 which proposed changing the
ERCOT production system to generate and publish forecasted and
backcasted Load Profiles with three digits to the right of the decimal
point (currently published with two digits to the right of the decimal
point) for the following Load Profile Types:

BUSNODEM

RESHIWR

RESLOWR

 

The affected forecasted Load Profiles will be published with the three
digits to the right of the decimal point beginning August 1, 2008.  

 

On August 2, 2008, ERCOT will publish the affected backcasted Load
Profiles for Operating Day August 1, 2008 with the three digits to the
right of the decimal point.

 

The corresponding Load Profile Model spreadsheets (v2.2) are part of the
Load Profiling Guide and are posted at

ACTION REQUIRED:  Market Participants may need to take steps to ensure
that their replication of the ERCOT Load Profile Models (i.e., BUSNODEM,
RESHIWR, and RESLOWR) round the final 15-minute interval values to three
digits to the right of the decimal point.  Those who reference Load
Profiling Guide Appendix E: Profile Model Spreadsheets need to download
the latest version from
