SHORT DESCRIPTION: The next round of
Retail Market Qualification Testing (Flight 1008) is scheduled to begin on October
3, 2008. ERCOT will NOT host a mandatory orientation meeting in
preparation for Flight 1008. The Texas Test
Plan Team has determined that no mandatory market orientation meeting will be
needed. The deadline to register for participating in Flight 1008 - Retail
Market Testing is Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 5:00 PM CPT.
INTENDED AUDIENCE: Current and
potential new Retail CRs and TDSPs
LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT and
the Texas Test Plan Team (TTPT) would like to announce that preparations are
underway for the next round of Retail Market Qualification Testing scheduled to
begin on October 3, 2008. Flight 1008 will test for TX SET Version 3.0.
Testing is required for new Market Participants (CRs and
TDSPs) entering the Texas Retail Market, as well as for current Market
Participants entering new service territories, testing additional business
functionality, or adding another entity to their business umbrella.
The deadline to register for
participating in Flight 1008 - Retail Market Testing is Wednesday, September
10, 2008 at 5:00 PM CPT.
ERCOT will NOT host a mandatory orientation meeting
in preparation for Flight 1008.
The Texas Test Plan Team has determined that no mandatory market orientation
meeting will be needed.
The Testing Worksheets (TWs) on the Retail Testing Website will
be unlocked on Wednesday, September 3, 2008.
ACTION REQUIRED: The following requirements for current
Retail CRs and TDSPs participating will need to be met before Flight 1008
deadline, Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 5:00 PM CPT:

Submit UPDATED Testing Worksheet (TW)
·
Notify ERCOT of intent to test via email once TW has
been updated
o Notification must include company
legal name and DUNS
All new market participants participating in the next
round of Retail Market Qualification Testing, Flight 1008 TX SET Version 3.0
will need to complete the following requirements by Flight Deadline, Wednesday,
September 10, 2008 at 5:00 PM CPT.

Submit the LSE Application
Select Services
Select Registration and
Qualification
Select Load Serving Entities
Under Key Documents, Select Load
Service Entity Application for Registration
·
Submit the $500 ERCOT LSE Application Fee with the
LSE Application (per Protocol Section 9.7.5)
·
Apply for REP Certification with the Public Utility
Commission of Texas (The LSE must have at least filed at the time of the
deadline.)
·
Submit a new Testing Worksheet (TW)
·
Send an e-mail of intent to participate in the next
