SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an issue with processing which created reject transactions sent to Market Participants.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  CRs and TDSPs

DAY AFFECTED:  August 10 and 11, 2008

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an issue with processing which created duplicate inbound transactions, resulting in reject transactions sent to CRs.  Please see below for the count by inbound Transaction Type:

CRs may have received 814_02 rejects for duplicate 814_01s; 814_17 rejects for duplicate 814_16s; and 814_25 rejects for duplicate 814_24s as a result of this issue. The switches, move-ins, and move-outs have successfully processed.

ERCOT has determined the root cause was a connectivity issue due to an incorrect IP assignment. 

Transaction information will be provided to affected Market Participants by Retail Client Services.
