SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Update on ERCOT reprocessing efforts resulting from Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) server issues on August 27, 2008.

 

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  CRs and TDSPs

 

DAY AFFECTED:  August 27, 2008

 

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an issue with the Electronic Data Interface (EDI) Server on August 27, 2008.   Reprocessing efforts resulting from the issue are still underway. However, the majority of the reprocessing has completed.

As a result of reprocessing, some Market Participants will receive duplicate transactions.

 

The validation and preparation of lists for affected Market Participants is underway and will be available by close of business today.  ERCOT Retail Account Managers will provide those lists to the affected the Market Participants.  If Market Participants are missing transactions, ERCOT requests that a MarkeTrak issue be filed.

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an issue with processing which created duplicate transactions sent to Market Participants.

 

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  CRs and TDSPs

 

DAY AFFECTED:  August 27, 2008

 

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an issue with the Electronic Data Interface (EDI) Server on August 27, 2008.   As a result, ERCOT is reprocessing some transactions.  Some Market Participants may receive duplicate outbound transactions. 

 

Efforts are underway to indentify the volume and transactions that were impacted.  Once all impacted transactions have been indentified, lists will be provided to the affected Market Participants.
