DESCRIPTION: ERCOT would like to inform Market

The Generation 301 course
covers topics related to data on Generation and Load Resources that must be
provided to ERCOT by Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) and Resource Entities
(REs). The course is presents three
groups of key data on Resources submitted to
ERCOT:
·
Resource Parameters – What are they? How are they submitted? How are they
used in operations?
·
Operational Data Requirements
·
Verifiable costs
For each of the above,
Generation 301 presents a discussion of the nature of the data, how data is
submitted, processed and approved as well as how each is used in ERCOT
Operations and Settlement.
Generation 301 is being offered
3 times during the month of August to support the verifiable cost data
submission process. Submission and
approval of verifiable costs for Resources is a key readiness activity for the
Nodal market. ERCOT has prepared
this course to educate QSEs and REs on the market rules and related procedures
contained in the ERCOT protocols and the verifiable cost manual. Personnel from QSEs and REs involved in
the preparation and processing of verifiable costs to ERCOT are encouraged at
