SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Terms of Use Guide for Web Access to ERCOT MOSPUBLIC Reports.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT publishes certain publicly accessible market information, referred to as “MOSPUBLIC Reports”, on its website at regular intervals. A subset of these reports can also be accessed by Market Participants using API.  In order to maintain public access performance for these reports ERCOT provides a “Terms of Use” guide.  This document defines ERCOT’s policy related to the usage of website and / or the API to access MOSPUBLIC Reports. The objectives of this policy are:

a)     Prevent overloading of ERCOT computing resources that may occur due to excessive queries

b)     Ensure optimal transactional request / response performance to all Market Participants

 

This policy is referred to as “MOSPUBLIC Reports - Screen Scraping / API Terms of Use”.

 

After review by stakeholders groups this policy is now posted on the ERCOT.com website.  The document lists the report names, frequency of data latency, allowable query intervals and links to each of the MOSPUBLIC Reports.

 

MOSPUBLIC Reports Screen Scraping/API Terms of Use  is posted under User Guides at http://www.ercot.com/services/userguides/.
