SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has an Off-cycle Retail Release planned for 12:00 PM Saturday, September 27, 2008 through 12:00 AM Monday, September 29, 2008.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  All Market Participants        

DAY AFFECTED:  12:00 PM Saturday, September 27, 2008 through 12:00 AM Monday, September 29, 2008.

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has an off-cycle Retail Release scheduled from 12:00 PM Saturday September 27, 2008 through 12:00 AM Monday, September 29, 2008. During this time, ERCOT will perform the migration for PR40066_04:  the Settlements and Billing database and application upgrade.

JUSTIFICATION:  This is a rescheduled release due to Hurricane Ike. Please refer to Market Notice M-A081408-03 sent on September 11, 2008.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  During the outage the following functions will be affected:       

·        Market Participants utilizing NAESB to send/receive transactions to/from ERCOT will be able to send/receive transactions to/from ERCOT during the outage.  This includes all retail transactions.

·        814_20 transactions will be held within ERCOT during the outage

·        867 transactions WILL be forwarded during the outage.

·        997 Functional Acknowledgements WILL be sent during the outage.

·        Components of the TML and Commercial API will NOT be available including:

·        Find ESI ID

·        Find Transaction

·        Submit Transactions

·        USA Functionalities

·        Report Explorer, including

·        Reports

·        Extracts

·        Invoices

·        Settlement Statements

·        Extract Scheduler

·        Web Services Data Requests

 

·        ERCOT Internet Services below WILL  be available

·        ERCOT.com – www.ercot.com

·        MarkeTrak - https://marketrak.ercot.com:8443/tmtrack.dll?

·        TCR - https://tcr.ercot.com

·        Texas Renewables – www.texasrenewables.com

MOS, Scheduling API, MOSTML, MOSPUBLIC, and Outage Scheduler will not be affected as there will be a DNS failover from Taylor to Austin.
