INTENDED AUDIENCE: QSEs, Resource Entities, TDSPs, ERCOT ISO and PUCT DAY AFFECTED: November 5, 2008 LONG DESCRIPTION: Texas Regional Entity (Texas RE) is hosting a workshop to allow market participants to learn more about compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards and ERCOT regional requirements for reliability of the bulk electric system. This workshop will be held at ERCOT's MET Center, in Austin, Texas, on November 5, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Texas RE and Jule Tate, our NERC representative, will cover compliance program material, including the new requirements and procedures. Topics include registration with NERC; NERC and regional standards; the Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program, and NERC standards for cyber security. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions. Information from this workshop will be valuable for Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs); Resource Entities; Transmission Operators (TOs); Transmission and Distribution Service Providers (TDSPs); ERCOT staff; and Public Utility Commission of Texas staff.
