NOTICE DATE: October 28, 2008 NOTICE TYPE: W-A102808-01 Operations SHORT DESCRIPTION: Annual Request for Information (RFI) of Disturbance Monitoring Equipment and 345 kV System Disturbance recordings. INTENDED AUDIENCE: TDSPs and Resource Entities DAY AFFECTED: October 31, 2008 LONG DESCRIPTION: Per Operating Guide 7.1.4, Disturbance Monitoring Equipment (DME); 7.1.2.4, Data Retention and Reporting Requirements, and NERC Standard PRC-018-1 Requirement 3, ERCOT submits the attached request for information (RFI) to be reported to ERCOT by the owners / operators of Resources and Transmission Services at voltages of 100 kV or greater. The Texas Regional Entity has in the past initiated this RFI, which is now being handed over to ERCOT. ERCOT is sending this reminder to ensure Market Participants make their annual report to ERCOT before the deadline of October 31, 2008. Though this notice is being issued shortly before the Operating Guide due date, some Market Participants have already submitted their information based on earlier communications through Reliability and Operations Subcommittee working group. ERCOT request TDSPs and Resource Entities who have not already submitted both the DME and summary of 345 kV disturbance recording events use the attached spreadsheet for submitting these reports (separate tabs are available for each report).
