LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) application experienced an outage on October 1, 2008 from 11:55 AM
to 12:39 PM.
At
this time, all ERCOT Retail Transaction processing has been restored.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The outage
was caused by an issue with a procedure in the Electronic Data Interchange
(EDI) application database. An incorrect value was being returned from
the procedure that processes
transactions from the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system
to the Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) system.
ERCOT
is researching how to avoid this issue in the future.
