SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has issued a Request for Proposal for Emergency Interruptible Load Service for the contract period February 1, 2009 through May 31, 2009

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Emergency Interruptible Load Service (EILS) for the contract period February 1, 2009 through May 31, 2009. Resource Identification Forms are due to ERCOT by December 12, 2008.  Responses to this RFP, including bids and Self Provision offers, are due January 9, 2009.

This RFP and all supporting documents associated with the procurement of EILS are available on the ERCOT website at http://www.ercot.com/services/programs/load/eils/index.html under the “Upcoming Contract Period” tab.  These documents include:

Awarded bids will be communicated to QSEs by ERCOT on January 16, 2009.  Summary information on these awards will be released in a Market Notice no later than January 19, 2009.
