NOTICE TYPE:  R-A121808-01 – Retail Processing

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced a processing issue which resulted in ERCOT incorrectly rejecting a small number of Switches (less than 100) with Reject Code EAS (request prior to Earliest Available Switch date). 

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  CRs and TDSPs

DAY AFFECTED:  December 17, 2008    

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT incorrectly rejected a small number of switches (less than 100) with Reject Code EAS (request prior to Earliest Available Switch date).  ERCOT’s Customer Registration System incorrectly listed January 2, 2009 as a business holiday.  This has been corrected and the impacted switch transactions have been identified.

ERCOT initiated MarkeTrak issues will be opened to notify the CRs impacted.  ERCOT requests those CRs review these MarkeTrak issues and reply on whether the impacted transactions should be reprocessed for the original request date or if the switch request will be resubmitted.

Please respond to the MarkeTrak issue no later than 5:00 PM, Friday, December 19, 2008.  After this time, ERCOT will consider the matter resolved by the impacted CR.
