SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Initial and Final determination of RMR status

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  December 23, 2008

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT System Operations and ERCOT System Planning have determined that the following units are not required for Reliability Must Run (RMR) service.  ERCOT will not pursue RMR agreements with these units for 2009:

• Handley Creek (HLSES Unit 1)
• Handley Creek (HLSES Unit 2)
• Mountain Creek (MCSES Unit 2)
• Mountain Creek (MCSES Unit 3)
