LONG
DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has an on-cycle
Retail Release scheduled from 12:00 PM Saturday, January 24, 2009 through 12:00
AM Monday, January 26, 2009. For
reference, four Market impacting SIRs, three non-Market impacting SIRs, and one
non-Market impacting project are included in the
attachment.
ERCOT will
also use the normal MarkeTrak maintenance window beginning 7:00 PM Friday,
January 23, 2009 through 12:00 AM Monday, January 26, 2009 to implement
PR-70007_01 - MarkeTrak Enhancements, Release 4. MarkeTrak service availability is 7:00
AM to 7:00 PM during retail business days.
ERCOT will
implement SIR 12140 to enhance the Customer Registration Database with a change
from Active Directory (AD) to Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP). This
is to resolve the Market Participant Dispute function, which currently is not
operating properly. ERCOT has had a workaround in place, and this enhancement
will be a permanent solution.
ACTION
REQUIRED: Market Participants who
utilize MarkeTrak API will need to update their .wsdl and .xsd files for use
after this Retail Release. The updated versions are
attached.
ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION: During the outage the
following functions will be affected:

Market
Participants utilizing NAESB to send/receive transactions to/from ERCOT will NOT
be able to send/receive transactions to/from ERCOT during the outage. This
includes all retail transactions.
·
867 transactions
will NOT be forwarded during the outage.
·
997 Functional
Acknowledgements will NOT be sent during the outage.
·
Components of the
TML and Commercial API will NOT be available including:

Find ESI ID
·
Find Transaction
·
Submit
Transactions
